September 12th Show

Greetings! I think the rain is finally moving on...and a beautiful day is in store here in southwest Missouri. This weekend is the Ozarks Celebration Festival on the campus of MSU in Springfield, MO. Check it out! Great live music, storytelling, etc. This Sunday's edition of the Mulberry Tree will feature Jerry Jeff Walker, Tim O'Brien (from his Traveler CD...one of the best CD's ever), Gillian Welch, Tish Hinojosa, local singer/songwriter Cindy Woolf, Joan Baez, Eliza Gilkyson, and the retional band "Flying Mules" who disbanded a few years back. All of the players in the Mules are still performing out there, so Google the names John Higgins(my brother) Charlie Pfeffer, Marc Rennard and Michael Prokopf to see what they are up to these days. DON'T MISS NEXT WEEK'S SHOW! I will have a co-host, Larry Michael Lee, awaard-winning songwriter, record producer, and founding member of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Larry and I will feature tracks from artists he produced when living in Nashville, TN. It is going to be a GREAT show, lots of fun. So tune in on the 19th, 10 p.m. CST. If you're out of our signal map area, log on to www.ksmu.org and click on "listen live." Have a great weekend, and I hope you can stop for a moment today to remember those souls who perished on 9/11. Emily
