This Sunday, January 16 on The Mulberry Tree, we can sit back and enjoy an hour of music that's filled with variety. For me, this wonderful opportunity to bring you music each Sunday evening is about creating an adventure for your ears. It's a lot like mixing a song in the music studio in order to achieve just the right mix of sounds, styles and tempos, and leaving some space here and there to keep your mind open. For this week's sneak peek playlist video, The Cactus Blossoms perform "Powder Blue," a tune written by band member Page Burkum and found on their album "You're Dreaming." The Minneapolis-based duo of Page Burkum and Jack Torrey create a sound reminiscent of The Everly Brothers but with their own unique twist to keep it relevant. Here's a list of who will be around the tree with us this Sunday:
Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell
The Creek Rocks
Tim Grimm and the Family Band
Gregory Alan Isakov
The Cactus Blossoms (2 tracks)--Click here to enjoy "Powder Blue"
Mark Knopfler and Chet Atkins
