Sunday, August 20 on The Mulberry Tree ECLIPSE SPECIAL

Hello, Get ready...it's an extra special edition of The Mulberry Tree as I bring you an hour of songs about the sun to honor next Monday's total eclipse of the sun in Missouri. The songs I chose combine to make one big bright hour of music to prepare you for what is about to happen when the moon passes between the Earth and the sun. Something incredibly exciting will happen during my show: a song will make its debut, the song is "Sunshine" and it was written by award-winning songwriter Larry Lee. Larry finished arranging the song and recorded it just for The Mulberry Tree listeners in honor of the eclipse. Very cool, wouldn't you say? Tune in to hear it and all of the songs I chose, compliments of these musicians: The Beatles (3 tracks) Jonathan Edwards Larry Lee Beyond Reach The Honey Dewdrops Jack Johnson Mark Knopfler Nick Drake John Prine Ellie Shine Mark Howard, Stuart Duncan, Matt Combs Joe Winters (instrumental) The Mulberry Tree airs on Sunday evenings at 9 p.m. CST on KSMU 91.1 FM, Springfield Missouri's NPR affiliate station, and also at the following locations: Branson - 90.5, West Plains - 90.3, Mountain Grove - 88.7, Joplin - 98.9 and Neosho - 103.7. AND we also stream live at ksmu.org. Meet you on the airwaves! Emily
