After living in a rural community for seven years, I made the decision to move back to Springfield, MO to be nearer to my music compadres and lessen the isolation I began to feel in the country. It was the most incredible place I have ever lived. Being up close with nature and being self-sufficient for those years was something that grounded me and taught me many lessons of resilience. I had the opportunity to live closer to one of my siblings when I was there, so that was an added bonus.
Now that I am back in Springfield, I am able to participate in more music activities with my band mates, and collaborate with others. The pandemic was in full swing when I was living in the country. That presented a whole new and different layer to isolation and solitude when friends and family weren't coming to visit as often, and my travels to see them were stifled as well. With that under control now, I think many of us who are performing musicians have a whole new appreciation of being music makers and the joy it brings all of us when music is shared live.
I appreciate you stopping by my website to learn a bit more about me. I hope to meet you one day at a gig.
