August 19th musicians on The Mulberry Tree

Hi everyone! Finally...a weather report I'm happy to deliver! It's 75 degrees outside, cloudy, and rain is likely on the way for Thursday. Woo-hoo! I'm happy to report that The Mulberry Tree is officially back to its regular 10 p.m. time slot. I'm sure there were some new ears who heard "the tree" for the first time during the six weeks it aired at 8 p.m., but hands down 10 p.m. seemed to work best for those of you who were kind enough to give me your opinions. This Sunday's Mulberry Tree will feature some new music that has never aired on the show before. Here is a lineup of artists for this Sunday, August 19th: Notting Hillbillies Bob Schneider with Patti Griffin Elephant Revival Sara Watkins Elyza Gilkyson The Byrds Bob Dylan Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young Neil Young Atlanta Rhythm Section Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris (2 tracks) Mark Knopfler and Chet Atkins FCC regulations prohibit the posting of full playlists prior to airtime, so that is why I am only able to let you know the names of featured musicians in advance. I will try to do for you every week. You can view Mulberry Tree playlists in their entirety after the show is over by going to this link: http://ksmu.org/show/mulberry-tree The Mulberry Tree airs on KSMU 91.1 FM, Springfield Missouri's NPR affiliate station, and also at the following locations: Branson - 90.5, West Plains - 90.3, Mountain Grove - 88.7, Joplin - 98.9 and Neosho - 103.7. AND we also stream live at www.ksmu.org. And a very happy birthday to my sweet sister Mary Jane, a/k/a "Janey", who will be celebrating a "milestone" birthday on Monday, August 20th. Meet you on the airwaves! Emily
