March 25th Mulberry Tree

Hello everyone! This week, spring arrives officially, though it sneaked in most of our doors a few weeks ago. For those of you who chose to celebrate St. Patrick's Day over the weekend, hope it was lots of fun. Please join me this coming Sunday, March 25th for another great hour of eclectic music selections. You just never know what I'll feature on The Mulberry Tree, but I sure try to make it different and enjoyable at the same time. FCC regulations prohibit me from posting full playlists ahead of air time but here you can view a list of artists to be featured ahead of the show. Full playlists for The Mulberry Tree are found here after they air: http://ksmu.org/show/mulberry-tree Below are the artists to be featured this coming Sunday: Emmylou Harris (two solo tracks) Emmylou Harris with Lily Lankin and the McGarrigle Hour Group Chaim Tannenbaum and the Mc Garrigle Hour Group John Gorka (two tracks) Judy Collins (two tracks) Cindy Kallett J.D. Souther Beyond Reach Ray LaMontagne John Akerman and Richard Rutherford (two tracks - local talent) The Mulberry Tree airs at 10 p.m. CST on KSMU, Springfield Missouri's NPR affiliate station, at the following locations: Springfield - 91.1, Branson - 90.5, West Plains - 90.3, Mountain Grove - 88.7, Joplin - 98.9 and Neosho - 103.7. AND we also stream live at www.ksmu.org On a side note, KSMU and the Springfield community lost a strong public broadcasting advocate and loyal listener when Keith Summers passed away last week. Keith has guest hosted The Mulberry Tree on more than one occasion, and his knowledge and enjoyment of music was evident in his playlist choices. Rest in absolute peace, Keith. Hope to meet you on the airwaves this Sunday. Emily
